Holwell Farm isn’t just a cinema venue. Tucked away in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the Cornwall-Devon border, it’s a place that feels genuinely special — and we’d love to help you celebrate here.
Whether you’re planning a wedding, a milestone birthday or a private gathering for the people who matter most, Holwell Farm offers something that’s hard to find elsewhere: a proper working farm with open fields, stone walls, a beautiful barn and a fire pit at the heart of it all. No two events here feel the same.
The Spaces
The barn sits at the centre of the farm and can comfortably accommodate up to 100 seated guests. It’s a rustic working barn — characterful, warm and full of natural texture — and it comes to life beautifully when dressed for a celebration. Outside, the garden and fire pit area provide a natural gathering space for drinks receptions, evening fires and those conversations that go on a little longer than planned.
Weddings
We’ve been lucky enough to host weddings here that we’ll never forget — intimate, personal celebrations where the setting did as much work as the flowers and the music. The farm lends itself naturally to relaxed, outdoor ceremonies with the kind of atmosphere you can’t manufacture.
